Hazardous Waste Generation
As part of SOCMA members’ commitment to environmental performance, hazardous waste generation data is reported to the ChemStewards® program. SOCMA collects this data from members participating in the Enhanced Performance and Excellence tiers of the ChemStewards program. This information is then normalized to that company’s total production by weight and is shown below. In addition, some members have provided supplemental information which has been linked to the data.

SOCMA member companies are engaged in the production of specialty batch chemistry that ultimately leads to a wide variety of products. SOCMA member facilities range in size from a dozen employees to several thousand employees.

*The rate is a measurement of Pounds of Hazardous Waste generated per Pound of Production.
